Bund Freier Demokraten
The Bund Freier Demokraten (BFD - Association of Free Democrats) was founded in West Berlin on 12/2/1990. The election alliance saw itself as a "liberal force of the centre". It included the Liberal-Demokratische party (LDP Liberal Democratic Party, the former block party), the Deutsche Forumpartei (DFP - German Forum Party, which had split from the Neue Forum - New Forum) and the Freie Demokratische party (F.D.P.-East - Free Democratic Party-East). Short-term goals: Establishment of a joint People's Chamber parliamentary group, unification with the FDP-West and thereby the creation of a unified liberal party in the whole of the unified Germany.
