ADN
Abbreviation for Allgemeiner Deutscher Nachrichtendienst, state news agency of the GDR. ADN had the monopoly in the distribution of news and press photographs from the GDR. Since 1956, the "Zentrale Bildstelle Berlin", founded in January 1952 had also become part of the news agency in the form of "ADN- Zentralbild".
